Al Hoceima Guide

Located on the northern edge of the Rif Mountains in Morocco, the city of Al Hoceima lies on the Mediterranean Sea coast and is the capital of the Taza-Al-Hoceima-Taounate region. The city, located on top of cliffs, overlooks two coves, one is a beach (Plage Quernado) and the other is the commercial port. The grid of wide streets in the city make it an easy city to navigate round. Boulevard Mohammed V parallels the edge from the Spanish College at one end to Place du Rif at the other and is where many facilities and restaurants can be found.

The city's port is home to many fishing boats that fish locally and is an important link in the city's tourism infrastructure. The port is always busy with locals and visitors who are able to hire local boats for trips or for fishing. A particularly pleasing site in the crystal clear waters are the many types of dolphin that can be seen swimming around the bay. This is also a popular reason for many boat trips.
