Batam Centre is the main port for the island, region and city of Batam. The island is the closest part of Indonesia to neighbouring Singapore, with the city of Batam being the largest in the Riau Islands Province. How do you get to the port?
The Batam Centre ferry terminal faces the Singapore Strait on the north coast of the island. Travelling around will not be a problem as the island is an emerging transport hub. The terminal is just a twenty minute drive from the Airport and Nagoya Town. The ferry terminal itself is not short of facilities, with it containing a large mall, supermarket and a number of food outlets.
