Popular with expats and students, Dumaguete Port has become one of the trendiest areas of the Philippines, with myriad of restaurants, bars and diving sites dotted up and down the harbour. Lying on the south east coast of the Negros Oriental Province, many Europeans flock to Dumaguete Port every year to sample the glorious weather, lavish hotels and beautiful beaches. With links to Manila, Cebu, Bohol, Tagbilaran, Dapitan, Zambuanga and Mindinao, Dumaguete Port is widely used as a gateway to the Philippines’ most prevalent areas. The most popular crossing to Cebu typically lasts around four hours, departing early in the morning and arriving just before midday. There are several companies offering their services from Dumaguete Port, most of which have tickets readily available at the ferry terminal.
Dipolog Port is located to the north east of the Philippine island of Mindanao; to the north of the city is the Sulu Sea which runs through some of the islands belonging to the Philippines. Nature lovers have become very fond of Dipolog Port, the region is famous for the beautiful wild orchids that grow in the area. Dipolog Port has no wharf of its own and relies on the port of Pulawan in Dapitan City which is approximately 9km from the city centre of Dipolog.
