Larvik is a town and port located in Vestfold County in Norway and is a town that can trace its history back to the late 17th century when it was founded in 1671 by Ulrik Fredrik Gyldenlove, the first Count of Laurvig. The Treschow estate, which is currently owned by Mille-Marie Treschow "Norway's richest woman" is located in Larvik and was created in the 1820's when the last Count of Laurvig was declared bankrupt.
