Isles Of Scilly Travel
Isles of Scilly Travel operate a passenger ferry service from Penzance harbour in Cornwall on the south west of England to St Mary’s harbour on the west side St Mary’s island on the Isles of Scilly.
The Isles of Scilly ferry service was formed in 1920 with the sole purpose of securing a regular shipping line between mainland England and the Isles. Now, nearly a century on, the service is running daily from March to November crossing the twenty eight mile stretch in under three hours.
The Scillonian III ferry operates the crossing and has been in operation since the late seventies. The ship can hold up to 485 passengers and on board you’ll find two café bars serving a variety of hot and cold snacks as well as Hot drinks, and alcoholic or soft drinks. The journey also provides a great opportunity to watch for dolphins and of course to take in Cornwall’s iconic coastline.
