Matamanoa Guide

Matamanoa Ferry Port

One of the many islands belonging to the Manamuca Islands, Matamanoa Island lays to the west coast of Fiji. The one ferry crossing from Matamanoa is to Denerau on the west coast of Fiji; the twice daily crossing lasts just over an hour and is the gateway to mainland Fiji. For tourists who desire a tranquil environment offering an abundance of activities, Matamanoa is the perfect holiday destination. Hours can be spent relaxing on the luxurious beaches whilst sampling the delicious food and drink, especially in the summer months when the temperatures reach enjoyably high levels. For a more active experience, there is snorkelling, scuba diving and canoeing available – perfect for anyone who thrives whilst in the water. Away from the water, tennis and beach volleyball are on offer for the budding sports people; a perfect way to spend a couple of hours before hitting the beach. A mix of tranquillity and activity is provided with the island hopping trips, where boats carry customers around the islands to witness the stunning views and take a dip in the azure ocean. The island is relatively small so it can comfortably be covered by foot, although most resorts will offer transfers to the port.
