Ustica Lines
Ustica Lines, now known as Liberty Lines, operates a large number of ferry routes connecting mainland Italy with the Aeolian Islands, Pelagie Islands, Aegadian Islands, Sicily, Ustica and Pantelleria, as well as connecting some of the islands to each other.
Ustica Lines began operating in 1993, when they chartered a hydrofoil to run some crossings between Napoli, Sicily and Ustica, before renaming to Liberty Lines in 2016. Within a few years they had established themselves as the largest company in the field of high-speed passenger transportation in the region. Today, with more than 25 fast ferries, catamarans and monohulls they’ve expanded their route network to be one of the largest in Italy covering connections to and from numerous island groups. The ships generally carry between 200 and 230 passengers and feature a bar, TV, reclining seats, air conditioning and electronic stabilisers for extra comfort during the trip.
Ustica Lines employs more than 350 people and annually transports approximately 1.5 million passengers.
