"We did not travel"
OUR car broke down on the journey. We missed the sailing. No number to ring no emergency contact. Just an email. Very stressful time. Customer service should be contactable in emergency. Irish ferries couldnt help as we booked through direct ferries.
"Ferry trip"
The Ferry Trip to England was very pleasant. Everything was perfect,
"Bring food and don't buy the wifi"
Journey was fine, food was terrible, overpriced and stale, make sure you bring your own food. Paid for WiFi on two separate trips, but both times it didn't work
"Sail with Ulysses"
It has been always lovely experience to travel with This Ferry!! Very friendly staff, clean beautiful interiors, quality drink food Yet I would have been nice to have some vegan options on board Thank you soo much ! Safe journeys onwards!!
"Amazing travel "
Really enjoyed travelling with direct Ferries to Holly head. We enjoyed a few drinks and had a long walk, although was a bin cold on deck. Our cabin was amazingly big and so clean, shower was lovely and powerful. So we was all fresh and ready for out moterbike trip to Liverpool. Would definitely recommend 👌
"Comfortable, clean & nice "
Comfortable, clean and well organised.
"Ferry trip"
The trip itself was perfect with no complaints all went very well (even with storm Eunice!) However Dublin port access is disgraceful and dangerous. Poorly lit atrociously sign posted and generally a horrible place to access. Maybe it’s not under Irish Ferries but is certainly worth noting. Many thanks Christopher
"Great service"
Had to use irish ferries to drive to London and back.club class was a relaxing experience.i would definitely use irish ferries again.10 out of 10.
"Return trip to UK over Xmas and NY"
Ease of checking in and out at both ends was flawless except for the slight delay with a few cars at the front who obviously didn't have the correct paperwork to pass through but once at the gates it was easy. Loads of room to relax on board. The dog room was clean and secure.
"Ireland - UK return trip"
Very easy booking process. When 1 of the sailings was cancelled it was sorted and another sailing confirmed within 24 hours. Both sailings were exactly on time leaving and arriving.
"1 day return trip "
Great, efficient service, exactly on time and good facilities.
"Great experience"
7 of family traveled from Dublin Port to Holyhead . A very pleasant experience. Nice seating areas . Good cup of tea.
"Fast, efficient, and fairly priced "
From booking to travelling the whole experience was so easy and efficient. Boarding was a breeze and the ship was modern, well equipped and comfortable. I shopped around and found irish ferries to be the most competitively priced. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using their service from Holyhead to Dublin again
"Irish ferries"
Always use Irish ferries . I find good service very helpful a d polite staff .
"Utd trip "
Great service. On time . Spotless boat.staff very pleasant.
"Dublin to Holyhead"
I have used Irish ferries a couple of times a year. Always a good experience. This occasion we boarded a few minutes late but nothing to stress about and due to heavy seas and winds we arrived a little late but to be fair this was due to the weather. All good otherwise
"Irish Ferries "
Very relaxing and staff very helpful
"Went on the ferry for the first time and I'm happy with the trip"
I was bringing back a motorcycle I bought in the UK so I booked the Holyhead-Dublin ferry. Didn't take long to board, nice straps to secure the bike and a lot of places to sit/eat/drink. The crew was very nice as well. Came to Dublin on time, and able to leave quickly. Attractive price, booked only one day before.
"Nice ship"
It was my first time on a ferry, it wasn’t was I was expecting, the ship was spectacular it even had a cinema which is a great idea. Only fault I have is there was an obvious smell of urine when you walk into the ladies toilets my partner said the same about the men’s so they mustn’t be cleaned often with strong cleaning agents. Also the price of a sandwich was €5.10 which is steep
"Very comfortable journey "
I enjoyed my journey from start to end I recommend.
"Incorrect advice "
I am always one of the first to arrive and yet we are always the last to get off with the car. Yesterday the same thing happened. 1st in and last out. Yet some cars were directed downstairs and were out first??????
"WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ( Or not able to deal with cos the just Rob your money and the"
I have never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life . I had to cancel my trip of last Friday 16th because of an injury sustained on August 7th. I went online to cancel the booking and I was charged the full booking fee and as a cancelation fee. That was €100.50 THIS IS A TOTAL DISGRACE. As I write this e mail I am on the telephone to contact you . I have been told that my current place in the que is ONE but I am still waiting to be dealt with . I am now exactly 20 minutes waiting to be dealt with. I HAVE JUST HUNG UP . YOUR SERVICE IS APPALING. YOUR COMPANY IS A TOTAL RIP OFF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS THE WAY YOU DO . I WILL BE CONTACTING THE MEDIA TO HIGHLIGHT THIS AND WARN OTHERS OF YOUR BUIANESS CULTURE.
"Cancellations"
Booked return Dublin to Holyhead on Swift. Received 24 hour notice of cancellation of Swift 2.25 hours, in favour of Ulysses 3.5 hours on both journeys. Operational reasons cited on both occasions. Staff member on our Ulysses ferry to Dublin yesterday evening said that the Swift ferry had sailed to Dublin yesterday morning. Why were we inconvenienced on both occasions ? Please let me know, many thanks, Michael
"Ok ish"
We travelled from Dublin to Holyhead onboard Ulysses. It was a pleasant trip, easy boarding, freindly staff and comfortable journey. Unfortunately the return journey on Epsilon was not quite so comfortable. Boarding was quick and simple. However there was limited seating, the promenade deck was closed even though the sea was smooth and no wind. The restraunt staff were helpful and freindly, unfortunately the reception staff not so. Then 40 mins to disembark. I have travelled the Irish sea route a number of times with both Irish ferries and Stenaline and had problems of one sirt ir another every time with Irish Ferries. I will always try and use Stenaline from now on.
"Was ok"
Went to holyhead on the Ulysses was great, nice and clean kids did get bored after 3 hours and there was still 35mins to go. But still great. Came back home on the Swift was horrendous it was going way to fast and everyone including myself my kids and 95% of the people on the ferry was being sick all because they where late. Even before we had left holyhead the captain said there is sick bags for everyone, and it didn’t take long before they where all gone and people where getting cardboard boxes to be sick in.I have been on loads for ferry’s and have never been sick even on very bad weather days. And today was almost came. I will never be on the Dublin swift again, I’d rather swim it
"Trip to leeds"
On booking in on my return trip Holyhead I was informed thathat my booking was invalid. The operator told me that my booking was for the 21st and not the 22nd even though I had adjusted my booking through direct ferries on the 27th of June. Luckily I had the booking confirmation on my phone as Irish ferries had not received any email confirming same. Thankfully the Irish ferries operator rebooked us on that nights sailing.
"Dublin to Holyhead and back "
My family enjoyed the ferry crossings which were punctual and very clean. We were very comfortable on the route to Holyhead but were disappointed with the scarcity of soft seating on the return on July 13th. I would however recommend the company on this route as the ferry was spotless and the staff very friendly.
"Return trip"
Dinner was disappointing, got roast of the day and it was served by a foreign waiter at carvery. He didn't even understand English that well and served need with chips (nothing else) asked for veg and got one spoonful of peas. Meat was t even half cooked. So are the chips n peas n handed back the meat. Wasn't happy at all for€14
"Ship punctuality"
Excellent service and on time, no wasting of time. Would definitely recommend sailing with Irish Ferries
"Relaxing "
We had been traveling all day and needed to relax. That’s what we did with the VIP lounge for £5 per head and the great service from the team. Nothing was to much for them. Also surprised how good the food was Very enjoyable and relaxing experience
"Holy head to Dublin onboard Epsilon. 22/04/19"
Terrible ship, it should be retired from service. Very small lounge area and an awful smell of old fried food. I’m sure this is a ship I travelled on as a child in the early 70’s .
"no problems"
twas grand
"Smooth crossing "
Couldn’t really fault it on anything in particular. Staff were generally good in Club class. Would be nice if they employed a few more Irish staff considering they operate as IRISH Ferries. Couldn’t understand 95% of one announcement made by (I think) the third officer. Not a big deal but in an emergency it might matter.
"Boat changed no refund "
Booked on the swift ferry from Dublin to Holyhead Sat 6th October2pm.. Received text to say boat was cancelled due to weather. Reservation made for us on the 8am or 8pm boat.. Took early morning boat.. Was due to take 8.25pm boat back 9th October but could not take the chance the boat would be cancelled as it had been the previous two days.. Rang to change booking to 2.10 boat on the 9th and was charged 41 euro extra.. Did not receive refund for the Saturday boat...
"Trip ftom Dublin to Holyhead"
First time traveling by boat. We really and truly had a lovely relaxing time both ways. Normally we fly but we were bringing our daughter to college and had to bring car. Just drive ip your given your card no long queues, no weighing bags. So organised and will deffo sail again
"Delay getting off"
Some delay getting off as a foot passenger at Holyhead, 20mins, to long.
"Great"
A lot more relaxed than a plane plus no restrictions enjoyed my trip
"Just a heads up"
Only part that takes a lot of time is with car, from waiting to check in to boarding ship can be very long wait... And late ship back can be very full with coaches from football matches
"Fabulous "
Excellent experience. WiFi wasn’t great.
"Long carpark wait"
Having arrived in Dublin at 17.25, it was 18.45 before I eventually exited the port area. Madness and very poor PR for tourists arriving in Dublin
"Decent service"
Bringing the car was veryour easy boarding. The ship the Epsilon left on time. Very comfortable very clean ship Arrived early , and disembarking was efficient and no fuss. Overall a very pleasant journey.
"No good"
No answer phone

"Good experience"
We had a good experience on our trip from Dublin to Holyhead with Irish Ferries
"Riped of "
Disappointment when i had to give a extra £100 to change my fairy. Rip of.
"Pleasantly surprised"
1st. Time using a modern ferry. I would not hesitate to do so again.
"Summer 2017"
No complaints regarding outbound or return journeys made this July
"Enjoyed every minute"
Enjoyed every minute ... so did my children..
"Great Service, horrific food"
I travel to Wales regularly to visit my partners family. We always get the 08:05am boat over and then approximately the 5pm swift boat on the return. I find the facilities on the boat good and I enjoy my traveling to and from. Great touch when we are returning is the movie played on the swift coming home. I have learned a HUGE lesson which I would highly recommend to people/families. Bring your own food. Although I have never ate going to Holyhead and only get a coffee, on the return to Dublin we have purchased food three times. The food is terrible, bland, tasteless, could be made much better at home and the price of nearly €15 just adds to the insult of serving you food a prisoner would turn away. So as a result we now bring all our own food on board with us.
"Good Value Fare / Rip off on Board - Bring sambos!"
Having taken the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin for the first time in 20 years, I can understand why air travel is by far more popular. Despite the fare being reasonably good value - the prices for food and the gift store on board were really ridiculous, even beyond what you'd pay at an Airport. I found a couple of the staff unresponsive at times and had to repeat things more than a few times (which I would not mind if it were not for the blatant rudeness). I probably would use the service if driving to the UK again, but would be better prepared food wise as neither value or quality are available on board at the moment.
"Wheelchair travel"
I have travelled on itishbfetries as a wheelchair user many times. In my recent trips I have found that there is no direction by staff after parking. A wheelchair user needs to know which lift to use, which deck to get out on. When to come to the lift, and what to do in case of emergency. None of this information was supplied to me. Otherwise, the trip was pleasant and successful.
"Swift "
Very good trip would recommend it to friends and family
"Lovely service "
Lovely people with very good service .always on time never get late.
"Dublin ــ holyhead"
Fantastic servese
"Excellent Trip"
Wonderful experience, couldn't be faulted.
"Steady as a rock in gale force winds"
We travelled on the ulysses from Holyhead to Dublin on the stormiest day of the year so far (saturday 10th sept) but did we know it during the sailing? No chance! It was brilliant not a bump or a roll to be had, it is a wonderful ship with great facilities; something for everyone. The lounge was so big and comfortable it reminded me of a cruise ship i had a holiday on some yrs ago. We departed bang on time and arrived only 5 mins late and considering the conditions - totally remarkable. This is a really great ship and a great crossing and I will certainly book it again.
