"Excellent staff"
We were extremely impressed at the helpfulness of all the staff onboard during our trip, they could not have been more helpful and we observed them being particularly helpful to passengers with special needs without request. Alex and Michelle were outstanding in their help.
"Rosslare-Cherbourg"

"Stena line review "
Not bad but not the best.
"Not happy at all!!!"
Its cold over the nights, you pay 200€ for a ticket and you dont even get a free wifi, bad experience! All avoid stena line in the future!
"Honest crew, happy passengers."
My partner and I recently took a return trip from Rosslare to Cherbourg on the Stenaline Horizon. On the way over my girlfriend lost her expensive binoculars in the on board cinema, realising only when we had disembarked that they had fallen out of her bag in the dark cinema. We contacted Stena immediately by email to try and retrieve the binoculars and I am glad to say they were really very helpful and informed us that they had been found and were being stored safely for us to collect on our return journey. We would like to say a big thank you to the honest crew members who found the expensive equipment, we are very happy passengers.
"Not happy"
On my way to the Rosslare ferry to Cherbourg, I received a text saying that the boat was leaving at 18.10 - more than 3 hours earlier than I had expected. I was driving down from Connemara, but made an effort to call Steam.... of course no reply ! I had about 1/2 hour of complete panic before the next text “please ignore our last message”. These things ought to be checked and double checked ! While I’m on the complaints mode, moderate coffee at €3.80 to a captive audience is a rip-off. Finally, I was parked on the open, upper deck and my car is covered with salt. We also seem to be the last to be disembarked, despite being the first in the queue at Rosslare. Not a good experience.
"Stena trip "
Very punctual, lovely friendly staff and great selection of food. No soap in any of the toilets
"Bad company"
Is the very bad company ever ever i see ...people are, not people
"Direct Ferries Very poor customer service "
Booked my travel arrangements through Direct Ferries. Went to check in at port and found there was no car booked in to travel. Weeks before we travelled I had been trying to contact Direct Ferries to see if I needed to add roof bike racks to my booking but still got no reply from them, rang them several times and when my turn eventually came on the phone queue I was cut off. Luckily the staff at Stena at the port were so helpful and got us on board. We had to pay extra for the car. We had only been booked in as foot passengers and had paid same amount as it would have been to bring a car (when I checked it out after). Direct Ferries need to deal with their customer service. It is appalling in this day and age how poor a service they have in looking after their customers. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE DIRECT FERRIES, THEY ARE ONLY A TRAVEL AGENCY, ALWAYS BOOK DIRECT WITH THE TRAVEL COMPANY!!
"All went better than expected "
This was our first time to travel by ferry. We got a great deal on Black Friday/sale price. Kids had a ball. Great freedom on the boat. Tiny kids area but they loved it and entertainment was provided. They used the cinema on way over and back (This wasn't free as I thought it would be) Food is ok.
"Cant praise the staff enough. Mangement should be so proud"
The staff were so helpful and friendly could not praise them enough.my only negative comment is there should be cabin 's for single passengers.
"Old ferry and old service"
Cibo scadente. Preferirò non usare più Stena Lines
"Ferry fine, book direct if possible. "
People were nice. Staff great with current movies in ship theater. Some meal vouchers were useless as restaurants weren't open for lunch or dinner yet were part of the meal plan. Cruise line couldn't give credit and direct ferries difficult to work with.
"Terrible staff, terrible food, terrible noise."
I was absolutely appalled by the lack of comfort offered to the customers upon this ship, the recliner seats room was quite obviously directly above an engine room causing constant shaking and an impossible environment to sleep in, and because I had no knowledge of this was forced to sleep in the common area on the benches, where staff rudely awoke me to tell me that I wasn't allowed to sleep on the bench, despite the fact that there were roughly two dozen other passengers aboard the ship. On a 17 hour crossing I would expect at least some compassion as to the sleepless situation, but was shown none. I guarantee I will be not riding with Stena line again, the entire experience was one of my worst travel experiences to date.
"In need of overhaul."
The ferry was punctual and the staff very pleasant. My husband needed assistance as he was on crutches, and the staff were very helpful when they were informed of this. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cabin. It was perfectly adequate. I felt the ship was reasonably clean, but needed a proper deep clean. The quality of the food was poor .
"Smooth sailing "
Our recent trip to France was smooth comfortable and on time . It was good value for money and we hope to travel soon again with Stena .
